Hello everyone! This is going to be a pretty important post, so please read through it carefully. (:
My goal is that after this Sunday we have a position / role for anyone who wants to help out with our growing community. I have a lot of ideas but if you think of a position you would like, that isn't on here, then please suggest it so we can talk about it and potentially add it. Also, it would be nice if each role has a small group running it, not just one person. Finally, please don't beg or control, the way you personally see things being run is probably very different than the way everyone else views it. Try to find common ground with others and have some wiggle room.
1) The Council
- I would like this to be a group of mature people that can make decisions based off of the guilds best interests. This could vary from banning someone to promoting someone to creating a new position in the guild. If someone has an issue, this is where they could take it to get it resolved. I think we should try to vote for things as much as we can as a guild but I also realize sometimes decisions need to be made quickly. Having a group of "elder" members could serve useful. Making a list of guidelines for these people may be a good idea. If you are power hungry please refrain from applying to this group. lmfao.
2) Radio DJs
- Durial and myself have been talking this over for a few days. If we could find more DJ's that live within different varying timezones, then that would be best. Our goal here is to have streaming music, podcasts, talks, update discussions, guests, and other fun stuff like that. We see this as something you could easily pull up while playing RS. Having a chatroom for this is also a good idea. We need people with a lot of music who can use Shoutcast software to stream. Free hosting services are readily available: www.caster.fm/ and www.listen2myradio.com/
3) Forum Admins
- This is pretty obvious, as our guild and forum grow in popularity we are going to need some of you to manage the shenanigans that go on here. Also, we will need people dedicated to posting polls and other important topics.
4) Event Coordinators
- We need someone to manage our weekly events and start custom events. They need to relay this information to all the other groups. They will need to make sure that event donations are given to the treasurer, the event itself is approved by the council and that our social media people can spread the word. Also, they need to make sure that the event and it's details are posted on our forums and calender.
5) Guild Treasurers
- This position is important when we receive donations or if we need to raise funds for an event. I will give you access to the "RS07 Guild" account to store all our guild donations and shit. We need people who are trustworthy to manage this. They will need to keep a log of all transactions on our forum.
6) Social Media Managers & Promoters
- We need people who are familiar with twitch streaming, tumblr, twitter, youtube, instagram and all those other things people use. We need to spread the word about our amazing guild and all the crazy stuff that is going on. You will coordinate with the events people a lot. Posting on the Runescape, Zybez, and our own forums may be part of this position.
Things our guild needs.
- Someone needs to help write up a list of rules for the guild and clan chat.
- When banning someone in the cc we should post on our forums who and for what reason. Then maybe people can come to our forum and appeal it if necessary. We should make a forum category for this.
- A domain name and Teamspeak
- Combat Guides and Skill guides
- We possibly need a group that is dedicated to typing up things for us and posting them. Is anyone a good writer??
- An admin only forum where we can post passwords and other classified information haha
- Possibly a political group. People who are dedicated to posting on the RS forums. It would be cool to see our whole guild supporting a forum post about an update we want or don't want. We could potentially get a post popular enough that a jmod sees it and used our ideas.
- We need to have an offical post on the RS forums so people can join our guild.
- Validate our guild forum & url through the RS forums.
