Good Afternoon Everyone,
I would just like to say congratulations to Durial and FishPit for becoming our newest Forum Moderators. First off I would just like to say how proud I am to be part of such a great community, and how impressed I am with MattP and the entire guild for how much we have achieved in such a short period of time.
Now down to the logistics.
I would just like to apologize for not being at the first Guild Event. My mother has been sick the past few days, and I brought her into the hospital yesterday to make sure nothing serious was going on. Fortunately nothing serious has happened and she is beginning to feel better already.
I understand that there were votes for Guild positions on Sunday night. One of these positions were for "Forum Admin." I don't want to want anyone here to feel as though I'm abusing my power in any way or think that I think I'm bigger than the guild. So I want to explain why Durial and FishPit will not be Admins.
The "Forum Admin" is someone that can edit every thread, can change the post rankings, has access to creating and deleting threads/boards/posts/etc., and can also change the entire layout of the forum. Upon conversation with MattP we both agreed that the only people that should have access to these credentials are the people who will be doing those exact things (which is Matt and I.) We also agreed that we don't need four admins, especially for a forum of twelve people.
MattP and I did agree that we would need moderators for the forum, as the forum grows, MattP and I can't be the only ones who are controlling everything. With this I created the position "Forum Moderator."
The Forum Moderator has access to but is not limited to:
-Ban anyone that deserves to be banned
-Edit anyones posts or threads
-Sticky a thread that they feel is important for the whole forum to view
-Reprimand anyone that feel is necessary of punishment
-Delete any posts
-Close any thread
In short, I hope everyone decides to be good boys and girls because we now have two new Forum Moderators that I know are going to be fantastic at their job.
As the guild continues to grow we are going to need more people that are going to have similar positions. So please continue to contribute to the guild, and post on the forums as often as possible, and you will also be considered for the job!
