Earlier today I got to thinking what would be a cool idea for a clan event, and I think this is a good one!
It's easy for anyone to participate in and does not require any specific level!
It would be a 1 hour woodcutting event. Throughout the hour you can chop whatever trees you please, but at the end of the hour we add in a little twist!
Whatever logs you cut, you then give to Matt or some other designated event organizer. Everyone who chops logs and gives their share of chopped logs to the designated person has a chance of winning ALL of the logs the clan chopped in that hour!
In order to decide who is going to win we could use mithril seeds to plant flowers. Yes it is a game of chance, but it is also a method that gives high level and low level members an equal chance of winning the lot.
Let's say hypothetically that Matt is the designated person. He places down his mithril seeds and grows (hypothetically) white flowers by chance. One by one the clan members that traded Matt and actively participated in the clan event plant their seeds as well, hoping to match. It will basically be a method or elimination, whoever matches Matt's flowers stays in the running to get the logs.
If more than one person matches the flowers, then we repeat the process with the remaining members. Matt places down the seeds again and lets say he gets black flowers. If nobody matches the flowers, then they repeat. If someone places down their seed and matches the flowers, then the other person(people) still in the round have to also match the flowers that same round if they want to still have a chance at winning.
Whoever is the last remaining member of the clan to match Matt's flowers wins the lot! They get the logs, while we all still get the Woodcutting xp, as well as the thrill watching a potentially intense game of chance take place!!
