I'm going to ignore all formalities and just get straight to the point here. Shit has been goin down. First Cuj0, and then the user blacksmiths is causing some concerns. Overall there is just too much going on and personally, I'm running out of free time to manage the overall workings of the guild. It's just life taking it's natural course. So these are a few ideas which I think need to be implemented to keep things running smoothly.
Make the guild invite only. It's obvious that certain types of people that carry traits of anger and control are going to find their way into our clan. It seems to be happening a lot recently through the forums. So I'm going to suggest that we halt all advertisement on any website. Please don't think we need to have a ton of people in the guild for things to be successful.
When the guild was first formed everyone we recruited was someone we met in game and interacted with through skilling or various other things in game. We were able to talk to them, get to know them and it acted as a form of bonding and pre-screening. It's something that is definitely lacking in our current form of recruiting. Someone suggested an application process but lets be honest, no one is going to want to take the time to do that. If this means less people in the cc then I'm okay with that. I would rather have 5 people in the cc that I know I can trust than 50 people that I hardly know.
This form of recruitment is a lot more personal and it gets people interested. Also, I've noticed people that interact with us, and vise versa, seem to be willing to get more involved and stick around longer.
On another note, I'm going to be graduating in a few weeks and am going to be starting my career shortly after. I'm going to need someone, or a few people, to step up and "take the reigns" so to speak. It's just inevitable.
Also, I've changed the cc so only people with ranks can talk. I think this should temporarily solve a lot of our problems until we can find a permanent solution. If someone wants to join please just give them the smiley rank for a "trial run."
